BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH
Skalp aka Pascal Lemaire, is a multi-instrumentalist artist, author, composer, arranger, producer and remixer equated with soul genres, funk, fusion and jazz-dance music.
It is mainly known as a composer, musician, arranger David Guetta, Cerrone, Joachim Garraud, Don Blackman and many more...
Skalp is the eldest son of Georgette Lemaire .
He started music at the age of 16. During four years it will be drummer of several groups, including OverDrive, a Funk 80s band, surrounded by Accardo brothers, Christopher Kowaks. In 1977 he left Paris to Biarritz, where he played several years with his stepfather Bob Sellers.En 1985 under the influence of Thierry Eliez, he decided to put on keyboards, and formed his first cover band Funk "Cachou "alongside his two brothers, Antoine Blanc on vocals, Yvan Lemaire on drums, accompanied by Nicolas Chelly Bass to and Mao Blanc on guitar. Christophe Ithurrize join them on keyboards,

Predispositions to the arrangement leads in 1989 to perform several songs "Be My Baby" in 1992 and "Song for Elsa," Christopher Lorente, artist produced by the Carrere label.
In 1991 he joined the group Sax Machine, composed and arranged tracks trends Acid Jazz, surrounded by Thierry Farrugia, James Marccedu, Mao Blanc, Nicolas Filiatreau, Frédéric Gaillardet and Christelle Daubat. The group will meet a huge success with fans of Funk, and will run throughout France until 1994. He did however come out one audio cassette of their compositions.
In 1995 Skalp went solo, self-produced five titles in French, participates in competitions of the "Truffe d'argent", where he won the 3rd place, and the "Pic d'or" in 1998, where he received the SACEM prize for title "Has Been" .It then joined the group "Keywest" for 4 years, with Jaye Proctor vocals that work later to the texts of his album
"From My Head To Your Feet".
Meanwhile, he composes and arranges for many regional artists, Pascale Baldi album "Parentheses", 5 children's songs Albums of Joseph Lafitte, Basque choirs (Nekezari, Iguzkilore) remix "Kung Fu Fightin 'for Chris novak, and many other projects .. including a Fiesta album "Mix South Ferias" he revisits a dozen titles typical of the Basque Country in Agorila.
In 1998 he made his first album "Hip Hip Hop Loula" for the dance association "Hip Hip Hop" from Biarritz, it will carry more than 60 titles for choreographic performances over a decade.
He met William Cartwright, English Bassist singer from the band "Court of Miracles", composed of members of his family whose Jaki Whitren and Db Clifford. This meeting will determine their musical understanding is perfect, but turned in concert for 2 years
Skalp begins the writing of the album "From My Head To Your Feet".
This is by sending his models to SquareProd, in 2002 Joachim Garraud remarks, and invited him to collaborate on the album by David Guetta "Just little more love." He composed and will perform 3 songs "Sexy 17", "Give me something" and "Lately" interpreted by Juan Rozzof and Barbara Tucker.
He then collaborated on the album Geyster "1984", and made her and co-produced two tracks "Partyin 'mind" and "Interlude".
It also sign 2 Remixes Funk "It's about you" and "John Claye".
The same year Skalp participates under Cerrone "Gonna Get You" on the Hysteria album for a solo Moog. (Uncredited)
In 2004, for the album "GuettaBlaster" by David Guetta, Skalp consists Title 'ACDC' used in the soundtrack of the movie People (Jet Set 2), Fabien Oteniente. He also signs the score alongside David Guetta and Joachim Garraud.
In 2005, he contributed to remix "Fuck them all" Joachim Garraud for Mylene Farmer. (Uncredited).
He signs the Rmx "High Energy" starring Chyna.
In 2006, he signed the Rmx "Ting Tang Tong" film "Camping" Fabien Oteniente.
Fabien Dufils, director of the video "Don 't let me go" by David Guetta, appealed to him for the music of his short film
" Toute une vie ". They will then work on two other short films "Dead End" and " 5000 Friends"
Skalp composed and produced twenty titles for the 2 Volumes Pink Paradise (Paris night club), including "I'm your fantasy," starring Chris Willis ".
In 2007, Skalp starts writing "From My Head To Your Feet", and sent its shares to George Duke who support him and his encouragement signing copies of his album.
After requesting Don Blackman to get the contact Toni Smith (legendary singer Tom Browne) Skalp absolutely taking the blackmail on one of his titles is finally himself who will participate under "Funky Toons". Don then the invite on stage during her concert at Hangar at Paris in 2011. They call each other "My Brother from another mother" as their musical inspiration is identical. Unfortunately their future projects in common will not see the day, Don Blackman died in April 2013. "Funky Toons" is sadly the last song interpreted by Don Blackman.
Sista Pat, met through the site "Funkhome" will raise handily the challenge of interpreting the resumption of worship as Tom Browne "Funkin 'for Jamaica", she also put his voice on the track "Best of my time "and write the text" This is it ".
It was in December 2007 that Skalp released his double album of 27 titles in V.Music: "From My Head To Your Feet", which he produced, composed and arranged. It is surrounded by vocal guests such as William Cartwright, Don Blackman, Sista Pat, Jaki Whitren, Melinda Williams, Ladora Knight. And "Mike Even (Feat. PaperBoy)", "Sunrise", "MS Project" & "Schrittmacher" who sign 4 remixes of the song "Superstar".

Unfortunately, after a promising reception, a legal problem will require it to withdraw from the sale, one month after its release. It took seven years of procedure to put the album on sale on sales platforms dematerialized.

He directed and produced an instrumental album Funk Jazz Lounge "Kaleido".
Mozinor use one of his songs "Rhythms" to illustrate one of his parodies "Le home cinéma" with Albert Dupontel.
In 2009, he produced the remix of "Chacun fait ce qu'il lui plait" to Tomuya, Japanese artist produced by Beluga Productions
album "A Japanese in Paris".

He realized the Rmx "Hot Shot" starring Melinda Williams and composed and produced the title "Gogo Girl" for the group "Noctys" signed in Nushock, Roby Label.
He signs the Rmx "Living" David Crops and co made and remix the title Stazia "Love & Jealousy".
In 2010, he composed an audience a live track on Contact FM with JD Davis and Joachim Garraud. The group one night appointed for the occasion "One night Project" will release a single "Stronger than a Hurricane"
He produced and co / composed the title "Promised to the sun" for Eric Carter.
He composed and produced the title "Control my Body" and co-produced and co-composed "Show me all your love" for Kaz James with Joachim Garraud.
In 2011, he composed the title "I see your light" for Jean Roch for his album "Music saved my life."
It performs the music of the country pub 2011/2012 for Numericable. (Numiz)
In 2012, he composed for "Hotels & Preferences" album "DREAM" of 12 tracks «Jazz-Lounge- Electro" produced by Joachim Garraud.
He collaborates with the arrangements of the album Lorie "Danse" alongside EssaÏ Altounian.
In June 2013, takes place a new edition of the album "From My Head To Your Feet" with a bonus remix FunkStep title "Superstar".
Skalp also composes and produces compositions in all styles for Sony Publishing US, Universal, Ultra Music, Killer Tracks, Music Box, specialized labels in the music and sound banks for Movies, TV, Pub ... whose album "New Disco Fever "on the Killer Tracks label (Universal), ranked top 5 downloads.
In 2013, he signed the title Dubstep Rmx "I'm Invaded" To Joachim Garraud.
In 2014, he signed the Funk Rmx title "Cash" for Joachim Garraud.
It comes in Zemixx Records, the label of Joachim Garraud, an LP of 5 tracks "Funkstep 1.0" signed editions at Because Music and SRP.
2015 He realizes the remix "Sabado" for Private Pepper.
He contributed to the recovery "Son of preacher" for Inna Modja, alongside David Categno for the album "Les stars font leur cinéma" Warner.
He realized the remix of "If i could change your mind" group "Haim" for Jean-Marc Cerrone. (Uncredited)
He composed the orchestral part of the title "Message to the World" Joachim Garraud. (Uncredited)
He co-composed, played and arranged 12 titles for Cerrone album "Red Lips" ( October 28-2016/ Because music). Includes the singles" Move Me", "2nd chance" feat Tony Hallen, and "BodyTalk" . His remixes of "Move me" becomes the officials tracks !

Skalp, alias Pascal Lemaire, est un artiste multi-instrumentiste, auteur, compositeur, arrangeur, remixeur et producteur assimilé aux genres soul, funk, jazz-fusion et dance music.
Il est principalement reconnu en tant que compositeur, musicien, arrangeur pour David Guetta, Joachim Garraud et Cerrone..
Skalp est l’ainé des 3 fils de Georgette Lemaire.
Il commence la musique à l’âge de 16 ans. Pendant 4 années il sera batteur de plusieurs groupes, dont OverDrive, un groupe Disco Funk des années 80, entouré des frères Accardo, Christopher Kowaks. En 1977, il quitte Paris pour Biarritz, où il jouera quelques années avec son beau père Bob Sellers.En 1985, sous l'influence de Thierry Eliez, il décide de se mettre aux claviers , et monte son premier groupe de reprises Funk « Cachou » aux cotés de ses 2 frères, Antoine Blanc au chant, Yvan Lemaire à la batterie, accompagné de Nicolas Chelly à la Basse, et Mao Blanc à la guitare. Christophe Ithurrize les rejoindra aux claviers,
Marie Ange Damestoy , au chant en 1988.

Ses prédispositions à l’arrangement l’amène en 1989 à réaliser plusieurs titres « Be my Baby », et en 1992 "Song for Elsa", pour Christopher Lorente, artiste produit par le label Carrere.
En 1991, il rejoint le groupe Sax Machine, compose et arrange des titres aux tendances Acid Jazz, entouré de Thierry Farrugia, James Marccedu, Mao Blanc, Nicolas Filiatreau, Frédéric Gaillardet et Christelle Daubat. Le groupe rencontrera un franc succès auprès des amateurs de Funk, et tournera dans la France entière jusqu’en 1994. Il ne sortiront néanmoins qu'une seule cassette audio de leurs compositions.
En 1995, Skalp se lance en solo, autoproduit 5 titres en français, participe aux concours de la truffe d’argent, où il remporte la 3eme place, ainsi qu’au Pic d’or en 1998 , où il reçoit le prix Sacem pour son titre « Has Been ».Il rejoint ensuite le groupe « Keywest » durant 4 ans, avec Jaye Proctor au chant qui collaborera plus tard pour les textes de son album personnel « From My Head To Your Feet ».
Parallèlement, il compose et arrange pour de nombreux artistes régionaux , Pascale Baldi l’album « Parenthèses » , 5 albums de chansons pour enfants pour Joseph Lafitte, des chorales basques (Nekezari, Iguzkilore) , remixe " Kung Fu Fightin", pour
Chris novak , et de nombreux autres projets…dont un album Fiesta « Mix des Ferias du Sud » dont il revisite une dizaine de titres typiques du Pays Basque chez Agorila.
En 1998 Il réalise son premier album « Hip Hip Hop a Loula » pour l’association de danse "Hip Hip Hop" de Biarritz , il réalisera plus de 60 titres pour les chorégraphies des spectacles sur une dizaine d'années.
Il rencontre William Cartwright, chanteur Bassiste anglais issu du groupe « Court of miracles », composé des membres de sa famille dont Jaki Whitren et Db Clifford. Cette rencontre sera déterminante, leur entente musicale étant parfaite, ils tourneront en concert pendant 2 années, Skalp commence alors l’ écriture de l’album "From My Head To Your Feet". C’est en envoyant ses maquettes à SquareProd , qu'en 2002 Joachim Garraud le remarque, et l’invite à collaborer sur l’album de David Guetta "Just little more love". En 2005, il collabore au remix "Fuck them all" de Joachim Garraud pour Mylene Farmer. (Non crédité).

Skalp compose et produit une vingtaine de titres pour les 2 Volumes du Pink Paradise (club de nuit parisien), dont « I ‘m your fantasy » interprété par Chris Willis ».
En 2007 , Skalp se met à l'écriture de "From my head To Your Feet", et envoie ses titres à George Duke qui lui apportera son soutien et ses encouragements en lui dédicacant son album.
Après avoir sollicité Don Blackman pour obtenir le contact de Toni Smith (chanteuse mythique de Tom Browne), Skalp tenant absolument à la faire chanter sur un de ses titres, c’est finalement lui-même qui participera au titre « Funky Toons ». Don l'invitera ensuite sur scène lors de son concert au Hangar à Paris en 2011 . Ils se nomment mutuellement "My Brother from another mother " tant leur inspiration musicale est identique. Malheureusement leur projets futurs en commun ne verront pas le jour, Don Blackman décède en avril 2013. "Funky Toons" devient tristement le dernier titre interprèter par Don Blackman.
Sista Pat, rencontrée par le biais du site "Funkhome", relevera haut la main le défi d'interprèter la reprise du titre culte de Tom Browne "Funkin' for Jamaica", elle posera sa voix également sur le titre "Best of my time", et écrira le texte de "This is it".

Malheureusement, après un accueil prometteur , un problème juridique l’obligera à le retirer de la vente, 1 mois après sa sortie. Il aura fallu attendre 7 années de procédure pour remettre l’album en vente sur les plateformes de vente dématérialisées.

Il réalise et produit alors un album instrumental Funk Jazz lounge "Kaleido". Mozinor utilisera une de ses musiques "Rythmes" pour illustrer une de ses parodies "Le home cinema" avec Albert Dupontel.
